One of the problems we all face is smart technology addition.
Admit it. How long has it been since you last looked at your phone?
While technology is great it can cause a lot of issues. With smart phone technology we are always on. We are always connected and always one ding away from someone stealing our attention and our time.
I know I’m guilty of this. As I wrote this, I realized it had only been 15 seconds since my last peek at my phone.
So, what do we do?
I try to always remind myself to be in the moment. To be where my feet are.
I say to myself, “My feet are here, be in the moment, and be where I am.” By doing this simple mind hack it keeps me from going off to wherever my phone wants to take me.
Next time you want to be in the moment, put the technology away and remind yourself to be where your feet are. My guess is you will thank yourself, and so will the people you’re with in the moment.
Until next time…I’m Marty, make every minute count.
